Women's Shelters 2008
Thank you for giving us a new vision!
The concept of giving back to our community in a practical way has taken a 'life force' of it's own at New Life Tabernacle, Brisbane.
Each lady in our church was designated an item to contribute per month. Some ladies asked for donations of personal hygiene items from work friends. Some packs had 'special treats' in them for example bottles of perfume, moisturizers, scented satchels, etc. We got some baskets to put them in. When we had no more baskets left, a sister went around to different hairdressers and she was given dozens of lovely clear plastic zipper bags happily donated to this 'cause'.
It has been now six months into the project and we have distributed dozens of these packs to women’s shelters from the North, South and West of Brisbane. Each pack goes out with our prayers and inside there’s a written message of unconditional love and hope from caring women. To God Be The Glory!
